Getting here
By car
The drive is part of the experience — Lexington in an hour, Cincinnati or Louisville in two, Nashville in four. The final stretch is a well-maintained gravel road to a gated entrance. Detailed directions and gate code arrive before your stay.
By air
Lexington (LEX) is the closest major airport at ~1 hour. Cincinnati (CVG) and Louisville (SDF) are both ~2 hours. We can recommend rental car options and groceries to grab on the way.
Seasons here
Each season has its own character. If you're flexible on dates, we can usually steer you toward the one that fits what you're after.
Wildflowers, mild days, the trails come alive. Best season for hiking the Gorge before crowds.
Warm afternoons on the pond, long evenings around the fire pit. Lush canopy and full trail access.
Famous Appalachian foliage. The Gorge is at its most photographed — book early.
Snow-quiet and deeply still. Wood-stocked, well-heated, and unforgettable for retreats.
Connectivity
Reliable Wi-Fi throughout the lodge — fast enough for video calls and remote-work weeks. Cell signal is gentle (which most guests come to appreciate). For Deep Work Week and any retreat involving live sessions, we've stress-tested the bandwidth.
